Short story:
This Celica came from Sweden, where it was originally bought by first owner in 1975. Original color was Toyota 861 Light Blue Metallic. Not my favourite so I'm glad it was repainted to 684 Dark Green Metallic.

This is how it probably looked twenty years ago in terms of color ;) |
The paint job isn't premium quality, but from a distance you can't say bad word about it.
And what is more important it helped the body to remain almost untouched by rust.
The car has not been driven on the public roads since 1995. In the meantime previous owners did their best (at least they thought so) to restore its seventies glam again. Few things like floor lining and seats were restored, few forgotten.
The most important thing is that it is complete - I mean all the chromes, windows, interior parts, you can count on one hand what lacks.
As it origins from Scandinavia it has engine and cabin heater that you can plug into 230V socket and OEM headlights washers (unfortunately it only has twisting headlights knob to turn the washer on as the rest of the system is missing).
At the very moment I am writing this the car isn't driving. It lacks radiator and all the coolant hoses and the water pump pulley. What is more it needs fuel tank cleaning, new fuel lines, exhaust, brake check, carb check, new spark plugs, new ignition cables, new shocks and springs.
In fact it is just another project car of mine and my wife.
In the first place we will try to make it driveable safely, then it will share the fate of our ST202 - full respray preceded by full necessary metal works. Then we plan to grab some new upholstery and of course make it "like from factory".
For now that's all. First work has already been done, but I will keep you informed in next posts.
Stay focused !
