Short story:
I have found this car on the Internet. After totalling my previous car which was EJ6 Civic I was still keen to Japanese cars. I could have hardly found anything interesting until August 2009. Basically speaking I bought myself a car as a birthday present. Previous owner told me that he brought it from Italy (in fact there is Italian manual in the glove box) and documents says that he owned for three years.
This Celica was improperly LPG-powered and despite removing this installation engine was very fatigued and it only lasted for about a year in my possession. As it was the most straight-forward solution I decided to buy other engine and change it. New timing belt, tensioner, waterpump, gaskets and o-rings were installed everywhere they were needed.
In the meantime I was taking care of all necessary maintenance so besides new suspension, new intake filter, new ignition system and few more little bits the whole car received respray in July 2013. Color remained the same - Toyota 199 Alpine Silver.
I stripped it and a professional paintshop did the rest.
While all windows were cut out I decided to buy new windshield as the old one was rather scratched and driving in the night wasn't much of a pleasure.
During this operation car gained new front look which is just a GT4 ST205 front bumper and bonnet. It may seem improper for NA engine and FWD, but in my opinion it looks great and makes car go on lower temperatures while on track.
It is worth to say that it was my daily car since 2009 until 2015 when I decided to grab a Vectra station wagon.
Now Celica is used approximately once a week, being stored in warm garage in the meantime.
I still have some plans which include LSD E56 gearbox and custom straightpipe exhaust.
But the most important is to keep it in mint condition and working fine.
