This week's post won't be as long as the last one, but it contains video at the end and few photos in the meantime ;)
Due having last Monday and Tuesday free at work I decided to get going with disassembly of our TA22. Our plan changed a bit since we bought it and to begin with we want to make it running safely. Body- and paintwork will be done later. We need to register it first...
Having said that, time for essence.
I started with dismounting the carburetor, unscrewing spark plugs, rethreading few bolt holes and bolts itself. Then I got to front and rear bumper, bonnet chromes, headlights, taillights, side chromes, front grill, rear panel between lights. Finally I started removing instrument panel, but it was getting cold in garage so I decided to postpone this rather tricky operation. I was happy to remove clock.
Here you have some pictures of job well done.
Pay attention to first which presents both bumpers fitted inside trunk. Who would have thought they can make it in? :)
Intake, carb, bumpers - all in trunk |
Taillights' chromes, front grill, rear badge panel and sticker printer to list all the parts. |
Headlights and chrome bezels. |
Taillights in need of polishing. |
Naked rear parts ;) |
Both side chrome vents had this bolt ripped out. They are now being glued in proper place. |
Was it originally blue or red then? |
Steering wheel off, need to think about quick release. |
Center console ruined with 1DIN stereo... |
Clock out for refurbishment. |
And here is the video shortcut of my work.
Remember to visit us next week for next part of TA22 restoration process :)
